The Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell and Lacoste announced on Monday that the prestigious French sports and fashion brand will be the official and exclusive partner of the Barcelona tennis tournament and will clothe all officials of the tournament, ball kids and lines-umpires on courts of Real Club de Tenis Barcelona. Starting with the 2018 edition, this five-year partnership also includes a Lacoste store at the tournament venue.

This partnership will contribute to develop and strengthen the presence of our brand in addition to the creation of our new Iberica region subsidiary last January,” Thierry Guibert, President of Lacoste Group, said.
The agreement with Lacoste is a step forward in sponsorship strategy for the tournament, which will also have a sartorial benefit to its judges and ball boys. Albert Costa, director of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, considers that “the arrival of Lacoste gives the tournament an international dimension” and is very pleased to have among its principal partners “a company born of tennis and that all fans relate at all times with our sport.”
