Thiago Seyboth Wild has clinched his maiden title on the ATP Challenger Tour winning the Challenger Ciudad de Guayaquil. The 19-year-old Brazilian upset Hugo Dellien from Bolivia, top seed of the $54,160 clay-court event, 6-4, 6-0 in Sunday’s singles final.
Seyboth Wild capitalized on five of his 10 break point chances to secure victory in one hour and 11 minutes.

The Rio de Janeiro resident has become the fourth different teenage winner the season joining Spain’s Nicola Kuhn, Jannik Sinner from Italy and Frenchman Corentin Moutet. Seyboth Wild took away from Ecuador $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
“I like the conditions here playing at sea level. Courts are not too fast,” Seyboth Wild said. “I was a bit nervous at the beginning of the match but I managed to improve my level of play.”
On Saturday, Ariel Behar of Uruguay and Gonzalo Escobar from Ecuador clinched the doubles title. The top seeds edged past wild card entries Pedro Sakamoto and Thiago Seyboth Wild of Brazil 7-6(4), 7-6(5). The encounter lasted one hour and 27 minutes.
