MUNICH, April 28, 2015

Within the framework of the BMW Open by FWU AG, the Bavarian Tennis Federation (BTV) announced to organize two US-$ 10.000 ITF Future tournaments in the greater area of Munich this year.

In co-operation with the TennisBase Oberhaching and DAIKIN, the events will take place in Oberhaching starting October 18 to 25 and will continue with a combined tournament of the same category in Ismaning the following week.

The BTV will organize the first tournament in Oberhaching taking place indoors on rebound ace. Heiko Hampl and his agency, organizers of the ATP Challenger in Marburg, will establish the men’s and women’s event in Ismaning.

Each of the tournaments’ champions will receive 18 ATP points and therewith a chance to climb up in rankings. “Our athletes will get the chance to push their careers on their doorsteps. The home advantage in tennis should not be underestimated,” BTV vice-president Peter Aurnhammer said. “Thanks to the support of our new sponsor DAIKIN, Bavarian tennis is positioned ideally starting with the ITF Futures over ATP Challengers ending with the BMW Open.”
