Robredo Joins Seeded Players In Second Round In Como

All the seeded players safely advanced to the second round of the €43,000 Torneo Città di Como – Trofeo “Intensa SanPaolo” on Tuesday. The tournament’s number two Jerzy Janowicz won the all-Polish-encounter with lucky loser Kamil Majchrzak 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and 18 minutes.

The World No. 110 from Lodz will next face Matteo Donati of Italy, who fought past Austrian qualifier Lenny Hampel 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 in exactly two hours of play.

Third favourite Filip Krajinovic cruised past #NextGenATP player Dmitry Popko from Kazakhstan 6-1, 6-1. Tommy Robredo opened his Como campaign with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Germany’s Daniel Masur. The Spanish veteran and former World No. 5 won 76 per cent of his first service points and 63 per cent of the total points played to prevail in one hour and four minutes.
