Organizers of the Sparkassen Open announced on Thursday the tournament schedule as well as the side-events for this year’s 26th edition of the ATP Challenger held on the clay-courts of the Tennis and Hockey Club Braunschweig. The week packed with “tennistainment” is going to take place from 4 to 13 July 2019, during the second week of Wimbledon.
Main draw matches will start on Sunday alongside the qualifying. The finals will be played on Saturday. In addition to seven days of tennis action, 10 days of live-music will round out the event. Tom Gregory, Ten Ahead, Tommy Reeve & Friends as well as DJ’s and an orchestra will be live on stage.
“The development of the tournament has been fantastic,” said Werner Schilli, excutive vice-president of the Braunschweigische Landessparkasse, title sponsor of the event. The Sparkassen Open received the ATP Challenger of the Year Award in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
