CLEVELAND, February 15, 2020

The 48-man-draw has been whittled down to the final four at the Cleveland Open presented by Cleveland Clinic. No. 9 seed Ernesto Escobedo leads the semi-finals line-up following a 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6), 6-4 victory over the tournament’s top seed and fellow US-American Denis Kudla on Friday.

Former Ohio State Buckeye Mikael Torpegaard from Denmark edged past US-American Raymond Sarmiento 6-4, 6-4. Torpegaard will take on Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil after he defeated Frenchman Geoffrey Blancaneaux 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 19 minutes.

In the doubles draw, Treat Huey from the Philippines and US-American Nathaniel Lammons beat Robert Galloway from the United States and Hans Hach Verdugo of Mexico 6-3, 7-6(5) to punch their ticket into the final.
