M15 Monastir TUN – Skander Mansouri triumphs on home soil

Skander Mansouri claimed the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament hosted by the Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The No. 2 seed received a walkover from Moez Echargui in the all-Tunisian semifinal encounter.

The tournament’s top favourite Kaichi Uchida from Japan, who was ranked World No. 3 as a junior, booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win against Frenchman Benjamin Pietri.

Twenty-five-year-old Mansouri fired 11 aces in the championship match to seal a 6-4, 7-6 victory after one hour and 42 minutes. The Tunis native celebrated his eighth title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.

In-form Alexander Erler and David Pichler clinched their third consecutive doubles trophy in Monastir. The Austrian tandem battled past Constant de la Bassetiere from France and his US-American partner Alexander Kotzen in the title match 6-2, 6-2 to celebrate their sixth team title of the year.

M15 Antalya TUR – Georgii Kravchenko captures another trophy on clay

Georgii Kravchenko emerged victorious at the M15 Antalya tournament, held at Club Megasaray in Belek.

The 20-year-old Ukrainian took revenge for his loss in the final at the same place last week, beating his No. 3 seeded countryman Vladyslav Orlov in the stage of the last four in two sets.

Briton Billy Harris eased past Alejo Lorenzo Lingua Lavallen from Argentina in the semi-finals in straight sets to reach his first singles final on the Pro Circuit.

Kyiv-born Kravchenko converted three of his six break-point chances in the championship match to prevail 6-2, 6-3 in 82 minutes. Following his maiden title in France last year, the No. 6 seed lifted his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, both won on clay court.
